MEGA Dream ex

The Pokémon TCG: MEGA Dream ex (Japanese: ハイクラスパック MEGAドリームex) is a highly anticipated Japanese high-class subset of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Focus on the return of Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. It will for release in Japan on November 28, 2025. 

• Focus: The set centers around Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and features new cards. There is also reprint of popular ex and Tera Pokémon ex cards from 2024-2025 releases.
• Guaranteed Pulls: As a high-class pack, each booster pack contains 10 cards (more than the usual 5 for Japanese sets). One of them is guarantees to be a Pokémon ex or Mega Evolution Pokémon ex.
• New Rarity: It introduces a new rarity like “MA” or “Mega Attack Rare”. These are full-art Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards renders in a pop art style. 
• New Pokémon Debuts: The set marks the first appearance in the TCG of Mega Dragonite ex
• Artwork and Foils: It features various collectible rarities like Illustration Rares (IR), Special Illustration Rares (SAR). Also has new “Mirror Holofoil” energy patterns and Poké Ball patterns.
• Tie-in: The set ties into the upcoming Nintendo Switch game Pokémon Legends: Z-A. It also brings back the Mega Evolution mechanic.
• English Equivalent: Cards from MEGA Dream ex will include in the English-language set “Ascended Heroes.  This is expect to be release in North America and Europe starting January 30, 2026. The English release will follow a “special set” format, meaning packs won’t be sold individually but in sealed products like collection boxes and mini tins. 

• Mega Charizard ex (both X and Y forms)
• Mega Mewtwo ex
• Mega Gengar ex
• Mega Gardevoir ex and Mega Lucario ex
• Team Rocket’s Pokémon such as Team Rocket’s Mimikyu and Team Rocket’s Crobat ex, which are returning to the TCG.
